There is a strong sense of community spirit across Don Valley West, reflected in the many people, programs, and organizations that bring us together. Forming connections between people from different backgrounds and cultures makes our community the best it can be. Our office is proud to be a central part of community building in Don Valley West through events, consultations, and support.
Another focus in Don Valley West is working to support our neighbours in need. This includes providing resources and assistance to low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities.
Our constituency office can help you with birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, and driver’s license issues. We also provide assistance with Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
Our office also organizes and takes part in community events for Don Valley West. Such as the New Year’s Levée, a Back-to-School event in Thorncliffe Park, the Don Valley Community Legal Services AGM, high school graduations, winter clothing, food, and toy drives, religious celebrations, school concerts, community events, and more!
Stephanie also supports environmental causes and programs for conservancy. In December 2022, we did a town hall consultation on Bill 23 to ensure that the public’s disappointment regarding the sale of the Greenbelt is heard by the government.
Overall, the kind of community work we do in Don Valley West is focused on building connections, promoting understanding and acceptance, supporting those in need, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Through our ongoing efforts, we are working to make Don Valley West an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
